Job Purpose
The AP Supervisor provides professional accounting activities in the areas of accounts payable, general ledger, expense management support, and taxes to highly successful firms in the architectural, engineering and construction management industries. This position is responsible for managing three accounts payable staff members, reviewing AP transactions for accuracy, delegating tasks, and managing client and vendor issues. The AP Supervisor is also responsible for managing the daily cash receipts process as well as expense management inquiries.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee the management of three accounts payable team members.
• Review high-volume accounts payable transactions for accuracy and post to the general ledger.
• Manage accounts payable email and paper inbox and delegate tasks.
• Establish and maintain accounts payable policies and procedures.
• Manage new vendor/vendor change process. Review and approve new vendors and vendor changes.
• Ensure stale checks are researched and re-issued or voided timely.
• Ensure credit memos are applied or refunds are received on a timely basis.
• Manage/oversee 1099 reporting process.
• Ensure vendors and bills are coded correctly for 1099 reporting.
• Review and process annual 1099s to vendors.
• Manage/oversee daily cash receipts process.
• Establish and maintain daily cash receipts policies and procedures.
• Ensure unallocated receipts are resolved timely.
• Maintain an understanding of expense management program and oversee responses to the expense support email. Respond or delegate responses to expense management inquiries.
• Perform various balance sheet account reconciliations

Education and Experience:

• Associates degree and 5 years related professional work experience
• Management experience required

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Team player and have ability to work independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout the company

• Exposure to general ledger accounting and financial statement reporting preferred
