We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. We are looking for someone who is able to help contribute to a staff culture dedicated to efficiency, quality control, and compassion. This position has the potential to grow into a leadership role as the company expands.

Facial Pain Specialists (FPS) is a fast-growing specialty group that treats orofacial pain disorders. Primary treatment areas include temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ), trigeminal neuralgia, headaches, and sleep apnea. We currently have locations in San Diego and Los Angeles, CA.
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. We are looking for someone who is able to help contribute to a staff culture dedicated to efficiency, quality control, and compassion. Responsibilities:
- Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
- Communicate with insurance companies for proper coding, authorization, and billing procedures
- Develops and implements patient care plans, instructs and counsels patients, and records progress.
- Participates in staff meetings, planning meetings, and other staff functions as needed.
- Becomes competent in using our Athena EMR system.
- Work with medical staff to create optimal patient treatment and clinical operation guidelines.
- Supervises and trains new MAs as the practice grows.
- Must be willing to travel between offices (we provide travel expense allowance).
- Compassionate concern for those who suffer from chronic pain.
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant accredited program
- Current BLS certification
- Computer proficiency, coding history a plus
- Interest in learning new information
- Must be willing to travel between offices (we provide travel expense allowance).
