Responsibilities
This is a volunteer remote role for a Product Manager. The Product Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our cutting-edge solution for real-time fact-checking, content verification, collaborative approaches to misinformation and forensic analysis to expose its sources. They will work closely with the engineering and design teams to ensure that product development aligns with our goal of providing reliable and trustworthy information to our users.

• Set the vision for developing a product and ensure the product meets the established goals and continues its growth trajectory through great digital experiences, innovative ideas, and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrable ability to communicate goals, requirements, and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams and leadership.
• Experience of collaborating with multiple internal and external business teams to develop product requirements and overall product roadmap, while also driving the implementation and delivery of products.
• Ability to develop detailed business requirements and user stories for the creation of product specifications and feature requests.
• Proven ability to use analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to extract data and build metrics to back up assumptions, evaluate outcomes, and challenge legacy requirements.
• Support and enhance existing products with thoughtful and measurable impact.
• A data-driven approach to problem solving and communications.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Have a positive, can-do, user-centered attitude.
• Willing to have fun and volunteer 15 hours/week.
Data Engineering/Data Science experience.
• Proven track record in data engineering, data science, BI, AI, and analytics.
• Strong expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, big data technologies, and AI.
• Proficiency in data science methodologies and tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, TensorFlow).
• Experience in data and familiarity with relevant regulations (e.g. GDPR) a plus
Qualifications
• 5 years of working experience in the Tech industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong understanding of product development processes, from ideation to launch.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
