OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Laborer to join our team at our facility in Spring Hill, TN. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the environmental standards and cleanliness of our facility.
Responsibilities
- Identify best practices to reduce waste volumes, increase efficiencies, and generate cost savings.
- Segregate, label, mark, and package waste materials safely and compliantly.
- Collect, pour, transfer, consolidate, repackage, and package solid, liquid, and sludge materials.
- Perform labor-intensive tasks such as drum collection, bulking, sorting recyclables, and loading trucks.
- Transfer waste into various container sizes.
- Provide labor support at the 90-Day Hazardous Waste Pad when needed.
- May guide or support less experienced technicians.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Participate in safety processes, follow procedures, attend training and meetings.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, injuries, or property damage to the supervisor immediately.
- Adhere to Environmental and Quality Management System (ISO 14001/9001) policies, procedures, and controls.
- Maintain compliance with environmental, safety, and transportation regulations (EPA, OSHA, DOT).
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in environmental services or related field preferred
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
