Job Description Summary:
Faegre Drinker has an opportunity for an Information Governance (IG) Coordinator to work in our Minneapolis office. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for coordinating IG business matters firm wide. This position will work with other talented individuals who share a passion for doing great work in the best interest of our clients.
Job Description:
What you would do:
  • Operations support to include management throughout all phases of records and information lifecycle, including creation, updating, indexing, closing, storing, transferring, circulation of client and administrative files, and case room maintenance
  • Maintain responsiveness and visibility with internal office clients
  • Develop and coordinate quick-response project planning, support, logistics and resource requirements on high priority/ short notice basis for all firm personnel
  • Collaborate with the IG-Enterprise Matter Mobility team to maintain an optimal level of performance regarding matter mobility operations in the applicable office
  • Work with other IG core service line teams to constantly review, analyze and improve services to the firm
  • Effectively communicate and articulate responses to internal client inquiries regarding policy and procedure
  • Support regular internal client needs and provide practical evaluation of system functionality and promotion of future enhancements of Records Management System
  • Maintain detailed time and attendance records in accordance with firm administrative policy
  • Develop proficiency in document imaging and understanding integrated document imaging technologies
  • Develop an understanding of the various data formats and sources relevant to matter mobility events
  • Task delegation to dedicated sourced IG personnel, in coordination with the applicable office sourced IG supervisor

  • Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations

What is required:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Legal Information Management
  • Demonstrated skills in organization, planning, time management, decision-making, and problem-solving
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficiency using a records management system (RMS) (iManage Records Manager a plus)
  • Proficiency using a document management system (DMS) (iManage Worksite a plus)
  • Willingness to maintain continuing education and training specific to professional skills development commensurate with the Information Governance and information management industry, and responsibilities of position
  • College Degree preferred or commensurate experience in legal Records Management supervision
