Faegre Drinker has an opportunity for a Network Infrastructure Engineer to work with our Technology, Information Security & Information Governance team in our Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Chicago or downtown Indianapolis office. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to supporting, maintaining, and improving the functional areas of the network such as network installation, configuration, patching, and life-cycle management. This position will work with other talented individuals who share a passion for doing great work in the best interest of our clients.

Job Description:
What you would do:
- Reviews and addresses network related service requests submitted by users
- Provides recommendations for enhancements that can be made to improve network performance and design
- Conducts standard network administrative tasks including hardware and software lifecycle management, patching, vendor management, and response to security alert
- Conducts day to day tasks associated with managing the firms Voice, Data, and Internet services
- Works closely with external network hardware and service providers to ensure the firm is compliant with current hardware, software, and security patch versions
- Works with technical teams, business owners and vendor contacts to develop required implementation plans and perform necessary testing
- Participates in an on-call rotation with other members of the Network Infrastructure Team
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
- Ability to problem-solve
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in a virtual environment (e.g., via phone, web/videoconference)
- Ability to concentrate on tasks, make decisions and work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-orientated environment
- Demonstrated ability to use good judgment in taking initiative while asking for direction or clarification and consulting others, as appropriate

- Bachelors' degree in Information Technology or related discipline, or comparable education and work experience or comparable years of experience
- Minimum of three years of relevant work experience in a Network Engineer role
- Experience in documenting, tracking, managing, reporting, and communicating relevant information to various levels within the organization
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand the entire voice stack and peripheral applications
- Physical demands associated with this position include installation of network hardware
