    This position is for School Year 2024-2025
    Job summary: The school activities coordinator plans, organizes, schedules, and supervises all school-sponsored student activities, including, but not limited to, athletics, student government, drama, music, newspaper, and related public activities associated with assigned school programs and physical facilities.
    Retirement: State of Alaska TRS
    Bargaining Unit: Fairbanks Education Association (FEA)
    Salary: Determined by the FEA Negotiated Agreement
    Contract Length: Minimum of 184 days
    Job Qualifications/Requirements (please review job description for qualifications and duties of the position):
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
    • Must be eligible for or possess a State of Alaska teaching certificate.
    • Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in activities coordination or related experience.
    • Must possess strong interpersonal skills, computer literacy skills, and demonstrated skills related to detail and organization. Familiarity with computer programs, including, but not limited to, scheduling, word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, and internet access software.
    • Must possess a thorough knowledge of district athletic and activities programs and local and regional sports organization rules and regulations, including ASAA and Region VI rules, regulations, and policies.
    • Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, staff, parents, students, and the general public.
    • Must be able to interpret and effectively implement instructions furnished in written oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    • Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple assignments effectively.
