Fairbanks Pipeline Training Center Trust

The Center is seeking qualified applicants for the positon of Executive Director. The Center is a labor-management trust organized exclusively for educational purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Center is recognized as a Regional Training Center by the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development. The Center’s primary mission is to provide Alaska with a modern training facility and field site for delivering courses and demonstrating skills associated with oil, gas and pipeline infrastructure. Accordingly, the Executive Director is tasked with working closely with Alaska’s oil and gas producers, pipeline and construction industry employers, industry associations, labor unions, federally registered apprenticeship programs, native organizations, school districts, REAA’s, state, local and tribal governments and the University of Alaska to meet oil and gas industry employment needs in Alaska.

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the Center, as well its associated equipment and assets, and staff of the facility. The Executive Director is responsible for all programs, including the successful coordination and implementation of all training performed at the Center.

Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with at least five (5) year experience in vocational education or related field; or a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in the pipeline and construction industry trades; or at least five (5) years’ experience managing an apprenticeship or training school in a federally approved construction apprenticeship program. Additionally, the applicants must have a working knowledge of equipment and tools associated with pipeline, building and construction, and heavy and highway trades.
