Position: Front Desk Leader

Department: Front Desk

Reports to: Front Office Manager/General Manager

Salary: $18 Hourly (Based on experience & performance)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily operations of the front desks to Marriott Band Standards. This includes ensuring all guests receive Marriott branded welcome, Bonvoy benefits and recognition. Supervise reservations processes, switchboard operations and special events & group arrivals.
• Participates in the selection of front desk personnel. Train and coach front desk staff to meet departments’ vision and goals. Set personal goals for each team member to ensure individual growth and retention.
• Requires all front desk staff to ware proper uniforms and name tags.
• Responsible for creating an inclusive working environment that promotes teamwork with recognition and inclusion for all.
• Scheduling, staffing and supervising staff to ensure smooth operation of the desk and minimize guest wait times.
• Ensure every guest experience superior customer care by developing a program of staff empowerment. Train staff in service recovery and encourage ownership and follow thru on all guest’s concerns.
• Supervise the Corner Market. Responsible for EOM inventory reporting and ordering of items to insure appropriate inventory levels and profitability.
• Responsible for supervising all front desk accounting practices, include night audit procedures and reporting, cash, credit cards, no show billing and direct billing accounts.
• Responsible for Fosse and Marsha room inventory accuracy and balancing.
• Scheduled shifts vary and includes weekends, holidays and overnights based on hotels needs and staffing. This position is full time and requires 40 hours with on Call duties.
• Maintains working relationship and communicates with all departments promoting teamwork.
• Serves as MOD or other management representative as assigned.
