• Job Requirements:
• 3-5 years of facility maintenance experience, with increasing responsibility. Hotel experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Skilled in proper and safe use of all tools, equipment, materials, chemicals and products relating to the department..
• Strong technical skills in HVAC, plumbing & electrical , carpentry.
• Knowledge of Salt Water pool system
• Knowledge of maintaining Wet/Dry Fire Suppression System
• Building maintenance background desired.
• Familiar with basic employment law regulations.
• Familiar with chemical treatments, control systems, water systems, refrigeration and compressors.
• Considerable knowledge of OSHA standards and their applications.
• Be able to maintain relationships with outside vendors, and contractors.
• Able to work successfully with all other departments.
• Organized, and strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be flexible to cover all shifts

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a 83-unit residential property in the Henrico, VA area.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with owners, tenants, employees and visitors of Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott are a must.
• The maintenance technician is responsible for ensuring that all apartment units are cleaned, repaired and that all safety standards are met.
• The maintenance technician should have experience with all types of building maintenance and be able to repair basic mechanical systems and operate basic electrical appliances.
• The maintenance technician should have experience with all types of repair and be able to follow basic instructions on operating a saw blade, basic mechanic and electrical tools and machines.
• The maintenance technician should have experience in preparing and maintaining all exterior and interior equipment.
• The maintenance technician should have experience in all aspects of painting and painting materials.
• The maintenance technician should have experience in all aspects of turn-around and time & material management.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
