Now seeking qualified applicants for a full time maintenance technician who is trained in basic general repairs. Must be highly motivated, friendly, punctual, and also have excellent attendance. Must have sound judgement and time management skills and be able to work with little or no supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Participates in property safety and Marriott's preventative maintenance programs to ensure a safe, hazard free working environment.
• Resolve work orders in a timely manner.
• Works closely with other departments to ensure prompt response to guest requests for services and repairs.
• Cleans internal areas of hotel buildings such as storage/boiler rooms. Clean and maintain the hotel's exterior areas, to include parking lot, landscaping, trash, and curb appeal.
• Maintains and repairs buildings' plumbing and electrical systems, including but not limited to: replacing worn or defective parts such as switches, fuses, faucets and valves.
• Perform minor repairs on PTAC units and replace filters in air conditioning/furnace units. Also program televisions and thermostats.
• Monitors hotel swimming pools and makes adjustments so there is proper sanitation and chemical usage.
• Cuts grass and removes weeds.
• Operates snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks to keep them clean and clear of obstacles.
• Assists other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
• Greets guests in a warm, friendly manner and corrects any maintenance concerns quickly and efficiently to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Assists in the security of the property including Onity door locks, tools, furniture, supplies, key cards and guests.
• Uses all materials, chemicals and tools safely to avoid waste, unnecessary damage or accidents.
• Assist with setting up, tearing down and cleaning meeting room as assigned.
• Runs errands and drives as necessary to meet business needs

OPEN DOOR HOSPITALITY POLICIES: Responsible for following all hotel policies and procedures as set forth in the handbook and property specific guidelines/standards. These policies include dress code, safety and performance standards. Employees must also maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.
