Job Description:
The Clinical Preceptor facilitates, directs and coordinates the onboarding of new nurses at FMC

• Guides and directs the onboarding process for new nurses and other nursing personnel at FMC (new hires & transfers)
• Evaluates the effectiveness of the onboarding process within nursing
• Collaborates with the onboarding team to provide high quality, evidence-based onboarding process for new nurses/nursing personnel
• Plans, develops and delivers educational offerings for new nurse and unit preceptors
• Demonstrates commitment to continuous learning for self and others.
• Completes required documentation of onboarding process.

Qualifications
Job Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing required. Masters degree preferred.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Rhythm recognition proficient.
• Certification in Med-Surg Nursing desired (or must be obtained in two years of accepting the position).
• Three to five years recent medical-surgical nursing experience required.
• Minimum of two years with FMC required.
• Teaching/preceptor experience preferred.

Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
