Responsibilities

Operation hours : 8 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm daily

Animal Care :

• Provide adequate food and water, bathing, and basic grooming to shelter animals
• Assist with animal intake, evaluation, and treatment
• Create and maintain necessary animal records, report logs, and perform data entry
• Follow all established protocols and safety guidelines within the organization

People Care :

• Assist clients with animal adoption process; facilitate client / animal interactions to insure a safe and pleasant experience
• Other duties as assigned
• Work is performed in a kennel / shelter setting and outdoor

Minimum Qualifications - Must have transportation to the shelter

• Compassion for animals, comfortable working in the shelter environment, and willing to accommodate animals in the work place
• Ability to stay standing or active during entire shift
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, push and other strenuous activities
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb. with reasonable accommodations and carry objects and animals of moderate weight
• Basic computer skills
