Our client in Western Massachusetts is looking to add a Project Manager to their growing team! The Project Managers main responsibilities will pertain to, building customer relationships, overseeing all pre-construction activities, managing subcontractors and budgets during construction, and preparing final documentation for project closeout.
Candidates interested in this position will need to come with at least 3 years of experience for a mechanical contractor / construction company. Candidates should also come equipped with a Bachelor's Degree as well as some OSHA experience. Responsibilities
- Build reliable customer relationships.
- Train Assistant Project Managers.
- Lead pre-construction tasks and review project estimates.
- Collaborate on Value Engineering and purchase materials/subcontractors.
- Write subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Assist in finalizing contracts and conduct Construction Plan Meetings.
- Create and maintain the construction schedule, project plans, and specifications.
- Review and organize project submittals, ensuring they meet specifications.
- Set up and manage project budgets, manpower, and documentation.
- Build effective relationships with the project team and address potential issues.
- Oversee subcontractors and update project documents.
- Monitor budgets and labor costs; maintain equipment schedules and project timelines.
- Conduct quality control inspections and attend meetings.
- Handle change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
- Manage invoices, documentation, and proactively address project needs.
- Prepare closeout schedule and final documentation.
- Address punch list issues and coordinate with subcontractors.
- Ensure readiness for final inspection, complete equipment start-up, and distribute O&M manuals.
- Manage as-built documentation and warranty information.
