FairPoint Communications is Hiring a Construction Safety Manager Near Framingham, MA
**Education and Certifications**
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
- Industry certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CHST (Certified Health & Safety Technician), or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) strongly preferred
- OSHA Outreach Trainer for Construction Industry, CHST, and/or Certified Safety Professional certification needed
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 & 14001
- 5 years of safety working experience in Heavy Construction
- Familiarity with government regulations, safety compliance, and industrial hygiene
- Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and strategic thinking capabilities
- Proficiency in electrical safety
- Self-motivated individual with a focus on teamwork
**Safety Program Oversight**
- Plan, implement, and supervise safety, accident, and fire prevention programs for a major bridge replacement project
- Direct the activities of Safety Managers and personnel
- Analyze requirements for safety equipment and materials
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain accurate records
- Implement, enforce, and enhance the Project Safety Program
- Conduct safety planning meetings with subcontractors
- Review and approve subcontractors' safety programs and hazard analyses
- Provide training on health and safety topics
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure SH&E compliance
- Investigate job site accidents and ensure proper documentation
- Enforce employee training requirements
- Assist with OSHA inspections, compliance reviews, and other regulatory audits
- Implement SH&E programs and conduct training
- Manage risks and claims effectively within the organization
- Construction Health & Safety Tech license or certification needed
