FairPoint Communications is Hiring a Director of Human Resources Near Henderson, NC

Leadership and Strategy in Human Resources
  • Report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction in all Human Resources areas.
  • Manage and lead the Human Resources team, defining expectations, providing training, and overseeing performance.
  • Work closely with the HR Business Partner to ensure alignment of HR strategy and vision.
Talent Management and Development
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment, retention, and succession planning programs with a focus on metrics and analysis.
  • Liaise with hospital leadership to communicate and lead HR strategic initiatives, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Ensure consistent administration of HR policies to comply with regulations and promote positive employee-employer relationships.
Program Oversight and Compliance
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of competitive compensation programs with HR Business Partner support.
  • Ensure HR compliance for Joint Commission, state/local surveys, SOX audits, and other audits.
  • Implement communication channels to educate and inform employees on various topics, prioritizing employee engagement.
Training and Development
  • Direct the development, monitoring, and facilitation of training programs aligned with hospital and organizational strategies.
  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local legal requirements to ensure compliance and advise management on necessary actions.
Organizational Expectations
  • Represent the organization positively and professionally.
  • Promote a culture of safety for patients and employees.
  • Maintain cleanliness and a quiet environment for positive patient care experiences.
  • Stay current with standards of practice, trends, and developments in the related scope of practice.
  • Uphold organization policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality policies for patient information.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
  • Certifications/Licenses: PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Experience: Five years of progressive HR experience in areas such as Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Training and Development, and Compensation Management. Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong business mathematical skills, advanced computer skills, and complex communication abilities required.
