### Opportunity Overview
BMW Manufacturing is seeking individuals with a passion for automotive technology to join their team. The position involves troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and modifying automotive manufacturing and testing equipment to enhance system uptime and reliability. Candidates will oversee equipment modifications related to process changes, new model introductions, and facility expansions. Attention to detail in maintaining and updating process documentation is also essential.
### Compensation
  • **Starting Pay**: $27 per hour
### Specific Requirements
  • **Education**:
  • An Associate Degree in a technical manufacturing discipline, along with 2 years of experience in automation/PLC controls and industrial maintenance, mechanical, electronic systems & PC controls.
  • Alternatively, a High school diploma or GED with 2 years of technical maintenance experience, PLUS 2 years in automation/PLC controls (4 years total experience).
  • **Additional Skills**:
  • Must be adaptable and able to handle rapid changes.
  • Willingness to work overtime and during holidays if required.
  • Candidates must pass a computer-based technical knowledge assessment and a hands-on electrical troubleshooting proficiency test with live current.
  • Proximity requirement: Must reside within a 75-mile radius of the manufacturing plant.
### Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in maintenance and troubleshooting of closed-loop servo systems.
  • Experience in the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of sequential processes.
  • Familiarity with high-level programming languages.
  • Skills in interfacing controls, processes, and feedback devices.
  • Experience with Human/Machine interface devices and related software.
  • Knowledge in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AC variable frequency drives.
  • Over 3 years of hands-on experience in key areas such as three-phase power, pneumatic controls, and Siemens PLC S7.
### Work Schedule
This is a night shift position. Please note that a relocation allowance is not available for this opportunity.
