Senior IT Systems Analyst Opportunity at NC Dept of Health and Human Services

We are seeking a qualified Senior IT Systems Analyst to join our team at the NC Dept of Health and Human Services (DHHS). In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing and operating the Managed Care Transformation by collaborating with various stakeholders, including vendors and division staff.
Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multiple vendors, division staff, and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical support.
• Research and analyze complex healthcare data to design and implement technical solutions in compliance with Federal and State Medicaid regulations.
• Design and develop interfaces across Medicaid internal and external systems.
• Create and deliver reports and metrics using SAS Business Intelligence tools.
• Utilize SQL queries to analyze data and generate ad-hoc reports to support business needs.
• Validate data input files and formats, architect output datasets, and ensure data quality.
• Work with Single Sign-On applications and the State's NCID system for login.

Required Skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to facilitate meetings.
• Experience in managing and working with multiple vendors.
• Proficiency in gathering business requirements and developing business rules and process flows.
• Proficient in working with Oracle, MS SQL Server, and developing SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience in various file transfer methodologies and file types (e.g., csv, txt, XML).
• Experience in delivering Business Intelligence solutions.
• Knowledge of Agile Methodology.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively and work independently.
