The onsite supervisor role is responsible for rotating their days to support care teams at Eagan, Lakeville and Highland Park Urgent Care teams during work week 8 am - 5 pm There may be occasional weekend support to ensure cares teams are adequately staffed when input is needed.

Responsibilities Job Description

The Unscheduled Care Clinic Supervisor is an exciting role responsible for running the operations of designated staff. Provides work flow direction and management that is consistent with achieving department and organizational objectives. Other duties include achieving coordination, consistency, and integration in the operation of multiple sites, assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, assisting in planning and budgeting, and leading and/or participating in improvement projects/teams.

Manage day to day operations of unscheduled care clinics and services in the following ways:

  • Demonstrates ability to implement problem-solving mechanisms in both routine and emergency situations.
  • Ensures effective and timely communication of relevant information as appropriate
  • Provides guidance to ensure performance management aspects such as mentoring, coaching, individual development etc. are in place and holds staff accountable to expectations
  • Works collaboratively with leadership and other organizational partners to ensure efficient and safe operations of the site(s)
  • Anticipates and responds to physician/provider staffing needs and assures that support staff are appropriately scheduled to enhance efficiency, access and patient(s) demand
  • Performs appropriate due diligence to resolve patient and staff concerns. Promotes, supports and participates in process improvement, quality initiatives, and innovation

Responsible for human resources management for assigned area(s) to achieve quality service and positive employee relations.

  • Selects top talent, matching organizational needs with appropriate skills
  • Conducts timely employee performance appraisals.
  • Supervises employee OT, absenteeism and takes appropriate action to identify and correct issues. Plans and approves unit staff hour schedules according to pre-established parameters.

Sustain and mentor front line staff around quality and continuous improvement within service line.

  • Facilitate an approach to continuous improvement for multiple locations that link with the overall service line strategy.
  • Communicates quality and customer experience data and to seeks out opportunities to improve patient care and ensures understanding of the data and its importance.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or related field
  • 1-2 years demonstrated leadership experience

Preferred

  • BA in Nursing
  • 3-5 years of previous supervisory/management experience
  • Minnesota and Wisconsin RN license
