Job Summary:

The Sales Representative will exemplify superb customer service, have a curious mindset, and will always be looking for ways to grow the wholesale business. The FairWave MN Sales Representative will be responsible for selling the full portfolio of products including, but not limited to, coffee, coffee equipment, and allied products (syrups, sauces, mixes, paper products, and more). Sales channels include Coffee Shops/Café, Restaurants, Grocery Distribution, Offices, Hotels/Extended Stays, Churches, Education Programs, Healthcare Facilities, and Others. This role will have a focus on customers outside of the Twin Cities metro in Minnesota .

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Product knowledge. The FairWave MN Sales Representative will be responsible for a deep understanding of the full portfolio of products including specialty coffees, coffee and espresso equipment, and allied products (syrups, sauces, mixes, paper products, and more). The Sales Representative is the expert on the portfolio for all customers.
  • Customer engagement. You are tasked with building and maintaining strong customer relationships, with current and new customers. This will require you to engage via email and phone with our customers in a respectful and professional manner, helping answer inquiries, solve issues, and place orders. Overall, you will help manage the whole customer life cycle from an ordering, service, and satisfaction standpoint. You are tasked with ensuring that you respond to all calls/emails in a timely manner, within 24 hours of receipt of the request.
  • Customer visits. You will engage with your accounts face-to-face on a regular basis to ensure you are in tune with your account’s needs, and any areas of opportunity.
  • Sales pipeline management. You will be tasked with managing all sales leads and updated in real-time, using NetSuite. This will require a basic understanding of sales metrics/data, to help create projections for the head of sales in the Market in which you operate.
  • New business growth. You will be accountable for new business growth for the pipelines you manage, which will require an understanding of basic business and sales engagement strategies to help develop and engage with new leads.
  • Pricing knowledge. You will be responsible for an understanding of the pricing of the full portfolio and comfortable discussing pricing with customers.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience.
  • Preferred, but not required: Previous coffee or food & beverage industry experience.
  • Knowledge of coffee and espresso equipment
  • Track record of successful sales results and able to verify historical performance.
  • Ability to travel within Minnesota 3-4 days per week
