Position: Elementary ELAR Teacher

Faith Academy is looking for an Elementary ELAR teacher for the 24-25 school year to teach grades 3-5. We desire an experienced teacher who is passionate about Christian education. We would be open to graduates who have had some teaching experience as well.

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

PERSONAL BELIEF & BEHAVIOR

• Must be able to serve as a positive Christian role model to others in the Faith Academy community.
• Must be able to accept and support the school’s statement of faith, mission, and objectives.

PROFESSIONAL

• Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree. State certification preferred. If a state certification is not currently available or in the process of being obtained, acquiring an ACSI teaching certification will be required. (provided as part of continuing education through Faith Academy of Bellville)
• Must have excellent knowledge of grade-level expectations and subject matter and be effective in teaching and maintaining appropriate classroom management.

INDIVIDUAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Superior interpersonal relationship skills
• Possess the physical stamina required to fulfill the professional obligations of the teaching profession and their specific faculty assignment.
• Proficiency in computer and technology applications is necessary for the teaching profession.
• Possesses strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to properly use the English language.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
• Effective multitasking and time management skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to schedule and other changes.
• Excellent judgment and discretion.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
