Hospice – Clinical Informatics Specialist
As Faith Hospice continues to grow, we are seeking to add a full-time Clinical Informatics Specialist to our team!!
What will you do?
Monitor, improve, and maintain the operations of the EMR and related applications
Provide/establish various one-on-one and group training
Assist staff to identify and resolve problems with the EMR and related applications
Assist department with coordinating and monitoring the continuous development of the Quality Improvement program
Work as liaison between our EMR vendor and the clinical staff
Prepare data reports as requested by management
Work with our external healthcare providers (hospitals, physician offices) to promote integrated care
Create staff training and development resources in collaboration with the Informatics Manager and Staff Development Coordinator
Education and Skills to be successful:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing, computer science or informatics preferred
Two to four years of healthcare experience preferred.
Knowledge of clinical nursing practice and adult learning principles
Experience with data analysis, electronic medical records, and analysis tools and methodologies preferred
Demonstrated ability and experience working with different software creating materials according to need and utilizing multiple programs including audio visual required
