Hospice – Clinical Informatics Specialist
As Faith Hospice continues to grow, we are seeking to add a full-time Clinical Informatics Specialist to our team!!
What will you do?
- Monitor, improve, and maintain the operations of the EMR and related applications
- Provide/establish various one-on-one and group training
- Assist staff to identify and resolve problems with the EMR and related applications
- Assist department with coordinating and monitoring the continuous development of the Quality Improvement program
- Work as liaison between our EMR vendor and the clinical staff
- Prepare data reports as requested by management
- Work with our external healthcare providers (hospitals, physician offices) to promote integrated care
- Create staff training and development resources in collaboration with the Informatics Manager and Staff Development Coordinator
Education and Skills to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, computer science or informatics preferred
- Two to four years of healthcare experience preferred.
- Knowledge of clinical nursing practice and adult learning principles
- Experience with data analysis, electronic medical records, and analysis tools and methodologies preferred
