Faith Regional Health Services is Hiring a Material management Near Norfolk, NE

Summary :

Performs stock counts in patient care units of the hospital, fills stock needs by picking items form Materials Management storeroom / warehouse.

Also fills other departmental inventory requests as needed. Assists Shipping and Receiving Clerk on in-bound deliveries by using established receiving procedures and will fill-in when this person is absent.

Will be responsible for ordering supplies from a variety of vendors as an assistant to the Buyer. Match invoices to receipts and code invoices with proper charge label is placed on patient chargeable times.

Also demonstrates positive customer relations by having a good knowledge of where all departments and services are located.

Participates in the fiscal inventory. Performs other duties pertinent to the department as assigned by the department director.

Must possess effective communication skills both oral and written. Organizational skills are needed to prioritize and coordinate duties as assigned.

Must be computer literate.

Responsibilities :

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Maintains supplies in a neat, clean and organized manner.
  • Keeps stock location on patient unit orderly.
  • Keeps stock in warehouse orderly. Removes empty boxes, sweeps as necessary, and does other general cleaning duties.
  • Is aware of product MSDS requirements.
  • Rotates stock, checks for expired product.
  • Demonstrates proficient use of all computerized systems for materials management.

  • Receives, reviews, and has requisitions approved prior to ordering.
  • Follows purchasing approval policy.
  • Demonstrates unit procedures for Receiving.
  • Counts and signs only for product received, notes discrepancies and visible damage.
  • Unpacks and inspects for hidden damage or defects.
  • Compares received goods for accuracy against quantity and type ordered via Purchase Order.
  • Demonstrates unit procedures for Billing.
  • Matches purchase orders to appropriate invoices.
  • Codes invoices to appropriate cost centers and account.
  • Forwards invoices to business office promptly for payment taking advantage of prompt payment discounts when offered.
  • Consistently demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
  • Performs assigned duties within the time allowed.
  • Completes special projects in a timely manner.
  • Manages inventory appropriately.
  • Fills requisitions by taking items from stock when possible and delivers to appropriate department or nursing station.
  • Periodically takes physical count of stock on hand verifying count with supervisor.
  • Demonstrates the ability to operate all department equipment.
  • Warehouse equipment including pallet jack, two and four-wheeled carts, and order picker.
  • Hospital owned vehicles including straight truck and full-size and / or mini vans.
  • Office equipment including copy machine, fax matching and computers.
  • Adopts a plan for ongoing professional development.
  • Demonstrates willingness to participate in education, serves as a role model, and demonstrates ability to be a team player.
  • Demonstrates practices to keep all medical record information protected and confidential.
  • Follows hospital policy regarding communication of patient information.
  • Follows department policy as to stored medical records.

Hours will be dependent on patient census and workload. Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, to include after-hours and weekends as necessary.

Other Certifications / Requirements :

Current, valid drivers license issued in the state of legal Residence required.

Operate FRHS owned vehicles required.
