Description

Assisting examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interview patients, measure vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height) and record information on patients' charts. May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients. Inform patients of costs for care being provided and guides them to appropriate resources for further information. Type routine correspondence and reports from dictation or handwritten copy. Answer telephones, screen callers, relay messages and greet visitors.

Requires a high school diploma and medical assistant certificate and 0-2 years of experience in a related field. Has knowledge of commonly- used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Requirements

Familiarity with Medical office and/or terminology. Ability to properly answer incoming telephone calls. Must have professional Phone Etiquette, and be professional in appearance and behavior Willingness and ability to work closely and effectively with other team members Pleasant personality. Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills are essential. Must be able to room (when needed by medical providers) patients in a courteous & professional manner. Reliable and strong work ethic. CONSISTENT ATTENDANCE. Ability to multitask, and properly room/assess/brief providers on multiple patients, often simultaneously. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate from an accredited, verifiable medical assistant-ship program.

Customer service experience. English Fluency. Ability to provide references as needed..

Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm or 7 am - 4 pm
