Job PurposeTo effectively and efficiently lead Familia Dental's community marketing efforts under the supervision of the Director of Community Relations. This position will ensure the execution of strategies to improve market presence and meet patient target goals by effectively delivering the company's vision, mission and values to the communities we serve.
ResponsibilitiesThe Community Relations Coordinator will market the assigned office or offices in the community with Neighborhood Marketing, Events and Table Days, Doctor and Agency Referrals, Oral Health Presentations, Mobile Dental Services and Dental Screenings. The Community Relations Coordinator will assume the following duties, not limited to:
  • Increase the number of new patients for the assigned office or offices and reach monthly targets set forth by the Director of Community Relations.
  • Develop and execute monthly marketing plans.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with local organizations and businesses to increase the number of new patients such as community agencies, school systems, and physician offices.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with key community leaders as well as appointed and elected officials.
  • Communicate any local opportunities with the Director of Community Relations.
  • Provide an active, reliable presence at health fairs and other community venues, providing accurate information and referrals for community members seeking dental services.
  • Implement dental hygiene educational programs in the community, in coordination with Familia Dental education program leadership.
  • Maintain logs and issue monthly reports on community engagement and outreach activities to inform colleagues, managers, directors, and senior leaders across the organization of community engagement progress.
  • Responsible for maintaining control of budgeted costs for marketing. Provides periodic reporting to management.
  • Recommend strategies to integrate into local regional marketing plans via collaboration agreements of memorandums of understanding.
  • Responsible for coordinating Dental Days and Signature Co-Branded Events with Manage Care Organizations and other larger community partners.
  • Responsible for coordinating mobile dental services at Schools, Daycares and Head-Start Programs.
  • Work closely with employers to also drive cash and insurance patients to your assigned offices.
  • Work closely with the office staff to drive Google Reviews.
  • Meeting and achieving quarterly goals set forth by the Director of Community Relations.
  • Protect confidentiality of patient information.
  • Follows and enforces adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Understand and follow HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality.
  • Learn and follow Familia Dental’s administrative and operational procedures.
  • Review and follow the Employee Handbook to ensure consistent standards.
  • Maintain professional working environment within office team.
  • Additional delegable duties may be assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is REQUIRED
  • Excellent customer/patient service and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous sales and marketing experience is required.
  • Experience with cold calling a plus.
  • Familiarity with the Medicaid System, a plus.
  • Familiarity with insurance processing, a plus.
  • Must be comfortable working directly in under-served markets.
  • Must have a high level of compassion and high level of service for the patients of Familia Dental.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand information and effectively present information one-on-one with patients.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out details written or verbally instructed.
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience with dental management software experience.
  • Requires a high degree of initiative, self-motivation, accountability, and independent judgment.
  • Ability to work in fast paced, patient-focused environment.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Organizational skills. The Community Relations Coordinator should have excellent organizational skills; ensure all record keeping and regulatory requirements are fully and accurately completed.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but consideration will be given to candidates with comparable work experience in community engagement or community health education with demonstrated results.
  • Requires excellent customer service skills.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish speaking skills a plus, but not required.
  • Must have a valid drivers’ license.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time to represent the company at functions such as Health Fairs, Table Days, and Health screening events.
  • Ability to bend, climb stairs and lift up to 20 lbs. regularly to set up displays and move equipment/supplies.
