Working as a full-time Career Coach - Employment Specialist at Families Forward, a Fedcap program, is an exciting opportunity to join our team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about changing lives for the better. THE DAY-TO-DAY FOR A CAREER COACH - EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST
The typical work hours for this human services job are during the day.
As a Career Coach - Employment Specialist at our nonprofit, you are like the ultimate friend for program participants - building trust and getting to know them inside and out. You work together to create a plan for world domination (well, at least in terms of employment) with a Family Contract Amendment (FCA) that outlines their short- and long-term goals. You check in monthly to see how your participants are doing and make sure they're on track with program requirements. And if life happens and they can't make a meeting, you quickly reschedule.
You're like a superhero, bringing in extra support from external providers to make sure your participants have all the resources they need. You stay organized by using the FedcapCARES program to plan out daily and weekly tasks. And of course, you always act professionally, following policies and representing our nonprofit like a boss. You get to feel like a rockstar knowing you're making a difference in the community in this vocational rehabilitation role in human services!
REQUIREMENTS FOR A CAREER COACH - EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST
If you are fluent in Arabic, Portuguese, Somali, French, or Lingala, that would be a plus!
