Family ACCESS of Newton is Hiring a Director, Early Learning Center Near Newton, MA

Excellent opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our children and lead a large center based Early Learning Center (ELC)located in W. Newton that is part of a mission-driven non-profit organization. We are offering a sign-on bonus, a competitive salary range of $85-$100k, and a generous time off policy of 10 weeks annually including Holidays!

Our premier large center based early learning center provides a nurturing and educational environment for children from 3 months to 5 years of age. Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and enthusiastic Director to lead our 5-member Administration team and manage the day-to-day operations of our early learning center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education (large center experience preferred), excellent leadership & management skills, and a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive environment for children, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Develop and implement educational programs and activities that promote the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth of each child.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of qualified educators and support staff.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and the local community.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations, licensing requirements, and health and safety standards.
  • Manage the center's budget, resources, and enrollment processes working alongside our Finance Director to meet annual budget expectations and strategic goals.
  • Implement and uphold the center's policies and procedures.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in early childhood education and incorporate them into the center's programs.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in early childhood education, or the equivalent in a combination of education and experience (required)
  • Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience directing an early education program (large center-based experience preferred)
  • EEC Director II certification (required)
  • In-depth knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education curricula, and EEC regulations
  • In-depth knowledge of the CCFA (Childcare Financial Assistance) programs run by the Department of Early Education & Care
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and administrative tasks.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Clear background check and fingerprint clearance (BRC).
