Family Office Exchange is Hiring a Business Development Senior Associate Near Chicago, IL

Family Office Exchange (“FOX”) is the industry-leading membership organization servicing multi-generational families, family office executives, and trusted advisors. Position Summary:The Senior Associate, Business Development is responsible for taking a proactive approach to understand the needs and objectives of prospective members and guide them to the appropriate FOX resources (which will primarily include Membership and potentially other products and services). You will generate qualified prospects primarily in North America, cultivating relationships and converting prospects into membership at Family Office Exchange. You will be responsible for the entire sales process of FOX services to Wealth Owners, Family Office Executives and Advisory firms. This process includes assessing prospects qualifications to determine if FOX membership opportunities are appropriate. In this hybrid role, conveniently located out of the FOX location in downtown Chicago, this role offers the opportunity to work with an amazing team in a full-life cycle sales role. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop, cultivate, and manage productive strategic alliances with carefully selected organizations/networks synergistic with FOX to reach groups of new prospects.
  • proactively generate qualified leads through referral source development, as well as other networking and marketing activities.
  • Conduct in-depth discovery calls to understand potential member needs while developing an understanding of the changing business needs that prospective members face and effectively articulate the value proposition for the firm’s membership offerings.
  • Create, maintain, advance an active sales pipeline using our CRM to achieve revenue targets.
  • Plan and execute effective sales strategies, plans, and campaigns, in conjunction with Sales Management & Marketing.
  • Manage a pipeline and maintain timely and accurate information around new opportunities and sales calls within CRM including completing outbound sales calls to leads.
  • Provide feedback on market and prospective member trends to the firm’s senior management on a regular basis and complete required sales reports and forecasts on a weekly basis.
  • Participate in team sales calls to share regular progress and business development updates.
  • Maintaining established daily call/outreach volumes while documenting leads, calls, and outreach in our CRM.
  • Developing new business opportunities by leveraging existing relationships, qualifying sales leads and directly reaching out to potential members.
Ideal Professional Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (advanced degree or professional certificate preferred) with a minimum of 1-2 years of proven success in a sales role within financial services, ultra-high net worth and/or membership/associations.
  • Knowledge of the wealth management industry and the unique requirements of serving ultra-high-net-worth clientele. Ideally, experience selling into Single Family Office entities preferred.
  • Strong sales, prospecting, follow-up, and closing skills, including the ability to identify, reach, and communicate effectively with senior-level decision makes in writing, via video technology (i.e., Microsoft Teams, Zoom), and/or via the phone.
  • Proficient using a CRM or tracking system. Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sales process and forecast with precision in a fast-paced sales.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding personal/team sales goals.
  • Proven experience and the ability to present and sell a compelling intangible membership.

  • High level of strategic, analytical, and conceptual skills coupled with a practical approach to problem solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to nurture high-quality relationships based upon trust and integrity.
  • Willingness to travel is minimal as the approximate amount of travel is anticipated to be 5-10%.
