Family Practice is Hiring a Full Time Medical Assistant Near Orange, FL

Busy Family Practice and Urgent Care located in Orange City is looking for a full time Certified Medical Assistant to join their team! Flexability is a must, we have primary care offices in Orange City and Ormond as well as an urgent care in Orange City; we are looking for help in all areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Document verbal conversations and information into patient record in an accurate legible and timely manner.
  • Maintain timely patient flow.
  • Prepare patient for visit as appropriate based on office/provider requirements.
  • Obtain specimens (i.e. urine blood etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
  • Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
  • Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. EKG PFT etc.).
  • Assist providers with examinations diagnostic procedures and treatments.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous medical assisting experience required
  • Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients families members physicians/providers managers co-workers and external customers.
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
  • Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment'
