Who are you?
Do you have a passion for working with youth? Experience working with students grades K-12 in a school setting? Dedicated towards making a difference with our youth by providing preventative services?
While a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field is preferred, it's not required to make a difference in your local community. Under the guidance of the Prevention Educator Supervisor, you will deliver classroom curricula to students ages K-12 through various prevention programming. Provide community consultation and education services on topics that may include early childhood mental health, mental health wellness, mental illness, and parenting skills.
In this role, you will regularly use various computer apps including Microsoft Office, our HRIS, EHR, and other online systems, with multiple logins often simultaneously.
You will have the ability to obtain a valid driver's license, earn CPR/First Aid certification, and be willing to submit background check and fingerprinting.
How you'll make a difference in this role:
You will provide community consultation and education services regarding mental illness and substance abuse prevention, and participate in community prevention efforts. You will develop and maintain relationships with local social service agencies such as schools/colleges/juvenile court systems.
