Family Resource Network is Hiring a Youth Recreation Coordinator Near Toms River, NJ
Title: Youth Recreation Coordinator Reports to: Director of Employment Programs & Support Services General DescriptionThe Youth Recreation Coordinator, under the supervision of the Director of Employment Programs & Support Services, shall develop, implement, coordinate, and monitor the Kidz Korner after school program at various site locations and the Camp NOVA summer camp program. Kidz Korner: is an after-school enrichment program for students with autism, down syndrome, and other developmental disabilities. Kidz Korner provides homework assistance and recreational and leisure activities in group settings. Kidz Korner is designed to support the development of hobbies, social interaction, and character development. Camp NOVA: is a one-week overnight summer camp supporting youth and adults with Epilepsy and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. Duties And Responsibilities
Supervise Kidz Korner Program Leads and Program Aides, including interviews, annual evaluations, quarterly staff meetings, etc.
Maintain and update authorizations of youth in the Kidz Korner program through Cyber
Monitor group notes and rectify any billing issues through Foothold
Lead expansion efforts to increase program attendance through correspondence with families and school districts
Manage the hiring, training, and oversight of Camp NOVA counselors, on-site directors, and nurses
Plan and coordinator all summer camp activities with the assistance of the Camp NOVA secretary
Conduct home visits for new campers and manage camp enrollment
Ensure all required documentation is gathered and submitted to the Department of Children and Family Services (DCF) and the school district to maintain programs or when opening a new site
Develop program materials including flyers, policies, brochures, fact sheets, flyers, articles, etc.
Promote program and initiate program expansion through collaborative relationships with community groups, service providers, and Care Management Organization (CMO’s)
Be attentive, flexible, and supportive of youth with intellectual and/or developmental and their families
Maintain youth information files, records, applications, etc. and update information when applicable
Submit all pertinent documents and data entry, including attendance sheets, program notes, authorizations, timesheets, reconciliation reports, coordinator reports, incident reports, etc. by specified deadlines
Order materials needed for each program site and track expenses
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor and/or CEO

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required, background in Social Service field (social work, special education, psychology, etc.) preferred
Two years of direct work with individuals with disabilities and their families.
Program development and administration experience preferred.
Additional experience may decrease educational requirement (Associate Degree/courses toward degree).
