Family Rise Together is Hiring a Community Housing Manager Near Duluth, MN

Position Summary

Family Rise Together, is an amazing non-profit foundation committed to strengthening families in order to reduce Minnesota’s disparate number of children in out-of-home placement, is conducting an immediate search for a Community Housing Manager to expand Housing Stabilization Services in Carlton County, Pine County, Itasca County, and St. Louis County MN!

OVERVIEW:

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will:

- meet State of Minnesota requirements for housing programs.

-have knowledge of housing stabilization services.

- must pass a Department of Human Services background study and sexual exploitation screening

-have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

-be at least 18 years of age.

-Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

This position is responsible for the overall quality of housing stabilization service programs, Housing Trust Funds, and Family Homeless Prevention Assistance Programs. The Community Housing Manager is responsible for driving progress on strategic goals to ensure all individuals have safe, welcoming, and quality housing services so that they achieve greater housing stability through effective supportive services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Organizational Leadership

  • Work with Executive Director and leadership team to develop organization goals, plans, financial models, budgets, and policies.
  • With the Executive Director and leadership team in developing goals and strategies and evaluating outcomes.
  • Foster collaboration between programs to ensure shared organization goals and strategies are met.
  • Contribute strategies to increase diversity, inclusion, and equity within the organization.

Leadership

  • Focus on achieving the strategic goals for all individuals to have safe, welcoming, and quality housing and to achieve greater housing stability through effective supportive services.
  • Lead the creation of expansion of housing stabilization services through visioning and resource development for services and operations in collaboration with other programs.
  • Lead multi-year planning and prioritization of resources to meet these strategic goals.

Diversity Equity & Inclusion leadership

  • Drive the strategies to meet the goals of the diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
  • Ensure that race is not a determiner of success in our programming.
  • Develop and implement opportunities for lived experience to inform our creation and delivery of supportive services.
  • Advocate for changes in policies and procedures in funding and government processes that impede housing access.

Staff supervision:

  • Build and maintain a stable high performing staff team.
  • Define clear staff roles and responsibilities and prioritize work assignments to achieve program goals.
  • Hire, evaluate and terminate staff according to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that staff receive adequate training and professional development.
  • Promote a positive working environment through team building and employee appreciation.

Day To Day Operations:

  • Attending meetings, contact with community providers, and promotion of programming.
  • Ensuring that all documents are submitted in a timely manner for programs and billable hours are met each week for staff.
  • Creating or editing policies and procedures.
  • Staff training on services provided.
  • Data management.
  • Reporting.
  • Program budgeting.
  • Tracking of funds and grant management tasks.
  • Grant writing.
  • Community outreach.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to work effectively with and relate to diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of homelessness and housing supportive services and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writing.
  • Time management.
  • Understanding of deadlines.
  • Strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently organize, coordinate, track and complete multiple tasks as well as adjust to changing priorities.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and possess an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel periodically within the St. Louis County area and surrounding counties.
  • Computer application proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Observation and assessment without judgement.
  • Interpersonal skills, including the understanding or and respect for boundaries, values, and personal differences.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Problem solving and solution implementation skills.

COMPENSATION:

This is a rewarding opportunity offering a salary based on years of experience.
