Family Service Guidance Center is Hiring a Crisis Administrative Specialist Near Topeka, KS

Department: Crisis Resolution Program

Job Status: Full-time Noon-9p.m. M-F

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Manager of Crisis Operations

Positions Supervised: None

Amount of Travel Required: Minimal (Between Locations may be required.)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Position Summary

The Administrative Specialist receives and coordinates requests for crisis services; and provides administrative support for agency Crisis services. This position functions as the point person for Crisis services, scheduling and tracking data within the mandatory compliance guidelines. In addition, the Crisis Administrative Specialist provides support and coverage services for the Crisis Resolution Program.

This position functions as a team member, assisting in all areas as required and directed by the Manager of Crisis Operations or Director of Crisis and Recovery Services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 Receive internal and external requests for crisis services.

 Coordinate access to appropriate services, with consideration of verified insurance guidelines.

 Schedule appointments

 Document with detail to ensure accurate information

 Assemble and distribute packets for Crisis:

o Crisis Resolution Program (CRP) Packets

o Short Stay Packets

o Admissions

o Overnight Respite Care

 Work with Director of Crisis to compile and coordinate crisis on-call coverage on a monthly basis.

 Review, document, follow-up on after hour crisis activity.

 Maintain and review Intensive Service Review list.

 Administrative support for crisis & outpatient treatment team, including overnight respite program.

 Maintain appropriate channels of communication with supervisor, Director, and Agency staff

 May perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Crisis Operation or Director of Crisis Services.

 Comply with Family Service and Guidance Center policies and procedures; take appropriate action to correct any obvious unsafe conditions.

 Act as a backup for the Hospital Liaison to assist in coordinating discharges when Hospital Liaison is out of office.

 Perform audits on CRP//Respite paperwork.

 Make reminder calls for overnight respite.

 Coordinate/track critical care calls.

 Follow-up CRP calls.

 Print/update/prepare Crisis on call manuals.

 Assist w/respite offer calls.

 Assist w/MAB escalated situations.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Licensure:

 High school or GED equivalent is required.

 Must successfully pass the KBI and SRS Central Registry background investigations.

 Must possess a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, current auto insurance and have a reliable vehicle.

Experience:

 Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with all professional levels of employment.

 Must be able to demonstrate flexibility, along with good organizational and time management skills.

 Must have experience using personal computers, proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.

 Dependability and demonstrated ability to assume responsibility with minimal supervision is essential.

 Required ability to maintain confidential material.
