Saturday 8:00AM – 4:00PM
Sunday 8:00AM – 4:00PM
1 weekday of your choice (5.5 hour shift required)
SUMMARY
Family Service League is seeking a part-time Case Manager for a homeless shelter in Brentwood. The Case Manager will conduct client assessments, developing Independent Living Plans, linking families with community-based service resources, assisting clients in achieving self-sufficiency through advocacy, counseling, and resource referrals. The Case Manager will be responsible for working collaboratively with the Housing Specialist and providing crisis intervention.
RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in social work or related field, or the equivalent experience is required.
Master’s Degree or MSW preferred.
Knowledge of homeless population and DSS policies and regulations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, required. HMIS a plus.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Valid and clean NYS Driver’s License required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to go up and down stairs.
