FSCM's SeniorCorps program is looking for a dynamic, outgoing, organized individual to lead our senior volunteer recruitment and retention efforts. The succesful candidate will:
Help develop and implement a written volunteer recruitment plan for RSVP Volunteers of Central MA, while assisting existing volunteers.
Act as a point of entry into the program, including interviewing, orienting, and placing new RSVP volunteers.
Upate comments regularly about volunteers and/or stations to Volunteer Reporter database.
Serve as telephone liaison between RSVP volunteers and volunteer Stations.
Schedule visits to volunteer stations with input from Project Director.
Design, prepare and send via RSVP monthly updates to volunteers, relevant stations and community groups; design and send special email blasts as needed.
Contribute regularly to project Facebook page.
Act as point person for all requests for volunteers with atypical (event) volunteer requests from RSVP existing stations in consultation with Project Director.
Review quarterly RSVP Worcester “Policies and Procedures” and RSVP Handbook.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree supplemented by related employment is highly desirable. Proficient in MS Office; exceptional people and communication skills; knowledge of office procedures; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with project staff, sponsors, partners, and volunteers; familiarity with senior citizens, non-profits and or volunteer services desirable; must have own car – mileage reimbursed for community visitation. Background check required. Bi-lingual perrferred.
