Located deep inside Oregon's Silver Falls State Park, historic Camp Silver Creek is a magical place for children and adults alike. Towering evergreens and a stream flow through the camp’s four units. In the center of camp, a beautiful field is perfect for field games and the lake welcomes boaters, fishermen, and even the early morning polar bear swimmers. The Role in A Nutshell

We’re looking for an Infirmary Director to support the health and wellness of our staff and campers. You will be the constant in the infirmary as you help orient each week’s volunteer nurse. This role starts June 10th and runs through August 24th.

Required Qualifications:

• 21 by the start of camp.
• Previous leadership experiences, preferably in a camping setting
• Medical training than a standard first aid course. Examples would be progress to a degree in the medical field, wilderness first aid training, lifeguarding courses, or EMT training.

Requirements

General Responsibilities:

• Train the volunteer nurse on our medical software, ePact.
• Help the nurse distribute medications throughout the day.
• Manage medical logs and records.
• Communicate with families as needed.
• Be the on-call person in case of necessary emergency medical transport.
• Act as nurse in case of the nurses’ absence.
• Review all the health forms and make sure counselors are aware of any health issues.
• Support staff in filling out incident reports.
• Maintain privacy for campers and staff.
• Manage infirmary inventory to identify supplies that need to be purchased.
