ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Builds effective, authentic relationships with students and parents
Attends staff meetings and swim instructor in-services as scheduled
Instructs swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines
Maintains attendance and skill accomplishment records for each participant
Maintains teaching equipment and conduct routine checks to ensure participant safety
Trains and supervises class aides as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum age of 16
Water Safety Instructor Certification
Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: From $11.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Evening shift
• Weekend availability

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• Lifeguard Training (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
