Fandory After School Program is dedicated to providing a nurturing and enriching environment for children after school. Our mission is to support academic growth, child literacy, foster love for reading and creativity, as well as develop social skills in a fun and engaging setting. A key focus of our program is enhancing child literacy and fostering a love for reading. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated After Care Program Teacher to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our students. This is a part-time position during afternoons. During summer and other school breaks we have camps and this position can become camp staff.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage students in a variety of after-school activities, including homework help, reading sessions, arts and crafts, and recreational games.
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.
• Develop, plan and implement lesson plans and activities that promote literacy, creativity, and social skills.
• Encourage a love for reading through interactive storytime sessions, book discussions, book reports and literacy-based activities.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents and guardians.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and school administrators.
• Assist with the planning and execution of special events.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with school policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with children.
• Passion for promoting literacy and a love for reading.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Basic first aid and CPR certification is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
• Can tutor in various subjects is a plus
