DescriptionFarallon Consulting, L.L.C. has a full-time opening for an experienced Project Coordinator in our Seattle or Issaquah, Washington offices. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of 2-3 days per week in the office.

What We Are Looking ForWe are looking for a motivated and highly organized Project Coordinator to join our firm in our Seattle or Issaquah , Washington offices. The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing our projects by working with Principals and Project Managers (PMs) to provide analytical, logistical, and administrative assistance. This role will be the backbone of project organization and client experience, ensuring smooth operations and driving successful project delivery within schedule and scope to our clients.

What You Will Be Doing At Farallon
  • Schedule Management:
  • Partner with Project Managers to develop detailed project schedules using project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet).
  • Providing project management support according to agreed-upon schedule, tracking project progress against timelines, identifying potential delays, and proactively managing risks.
  • Update and communicate schedule changes to stakeholders effectively.
  • Scope Management:
  • Work with PMs to clearly define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Monitor projects for scope creep and proactively identify potential deviations.
  • Document and communicate scope changes to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Budget Management:
  • Collaborate with PMs to develop and maintain project budgets and expenses.
  • Monitor contract expenditures, reporting variances, and actively participate in monthly invoicing.
  • Task Management:
  • Lead project team members in breaking down project tasks into manageable steps.
  • Assign and track tasks for team members, ensuring clarity and accountability.
  • Monitor task completion and provide updates to PMs, Principals, and stakeholders.
  • Communication & Documentation:
  • Collaborate with project team members to create and present client deliverables.
  • Maintain clear and concise project documentation, including but not limited to preparing meeting notes, tracking action items, and reporting deadlines.
  • Facilitate effective communication between project team members and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present project status updates to stakeholders.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and analysis as needed to support project planning and execution.
  • Lead initiatives to develop and improve project management processes, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need To Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Project Management, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field and a minimum 2 years of experience in a project management support role or relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, tasks, and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (e.g., Smartsheets). Familiarity with additional data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, flexible environment preferred.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
  • Experience working in Environmental Consulting or related industry.
  • Understanding of environmental principles and related regulatory framework.
  • Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (e.g. Deltek Vantagepoint, Oracle NetSuite or similar.)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. Farallon reviews and updates salary ranges annually, and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Farallon’s total compensation package for our employee-owners.
