- Provides push in and pull out English Language (EL) instruction and academic support for selected students in small groups and 1:1
- Works in cooperation with ELL teacher in establishing good EL teaching strategies for meeting the individual needs of students.
- Monitors and communicates student progress
- Administers and scores appropriate assessments under the guidance of the teacher
- Promotes home school communication
- Prepares and maintains written documentation as noted in the district ELL plan
- Collaborates and consults with other EL Tutors and ELL Teacher
- Attends monthly professional development sessions related to EL instruction and materials

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must hold an Associate’s degree or 2 years of college credit or its equivalent (parapro). Bachelor's degree preferred. Candidate should demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain a good rapport with students and possess a personable relationship with teachers.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Tutors provide instructional language, vocabulary, and content support for elementary students with a variety of language backgrounds.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SUPERVISION AND EVALUATION: Is supervised by classroom or special education teacher who will contribute in the evaluation process. Formal evaluation will be conducted annually by building principal or assistant principal
