Reports to: CEO

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,00 (base salary uncapped commission)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experience and driven Account Executive to spearhead our sales efforts in the SMB segment. In this founding sales role, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers and driving revenue growth through prospecting, cold calling, and relationship-building with independent farmers, ranchers and producers.

Your primary objective is to close new acquisition deals by showcasing the value of our platform and ancillary services, which enable farmers to manage inventory, logistics and marketing through our e-commerce platform. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual with a passion for agriculture and a proven track record in sales to join a fast-paced startup environment and shape the company’s sales strategy from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and generate new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and other outbound tactics
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact to closing, for new customer acquisitions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with ranch and farm business owners, understanding their unique needs and challenges
  • Cross-sell and upsell additional products and services to existing customers to drive growth
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute lead generation campaigns
  • Utilize CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) to manage leads, track activities, and forecast sales
  • Continuously stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and Farmshare's product roadmap
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Provide feedback and insights to improve sales processes, product offerings, and customer experience
  • Less than 10% travel required

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of successful sales experience, preferably in a startup or SMB environment
  • Denver, CO based 
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Strong understanding of the sales process, including prospecting, qualifying, presenting, and closing
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Curious, patient and methodical
  • Experience in the agriculture industry is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in CRM tools such as HubSpot and/or Salesforce
  • Self-motivated, driven, and able to work independently
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
