Farnsworth Group is seeking a Project Accountant I in our Bloomington or Peoria office. In this role, you will work directly with our project accounting manager to assist in project execution and control activities.
Job Activities:
  • Ensure implementation and execution of project accounting policies.
  • Provide financial and accounting support to internal clients (e.g., Project Managers and other Project Accounting staff).
  • Assist with management of project receivables, payables, and any project issues.
  • Create and/or reviews new client records as appropriate.
  • Maintain client related documentation (e.g., MSAs, contracts, invoices, etc.).
  • Review and ensure accuracy of project set-up and billing.
  • Prepare special reports as requested by Project Accounting Manager.
Specific Requirements include:
  • Associate's degree in accounting required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 0-2 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong billing and general ledger accounting skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; Excel skills, a plus
  • Detail orientation and strong communication skills
  • Architecture/Engineering industry experience preferred
  • Deltek Vision experience, a plus
  • Experience with project-based billing preferred
