Farr Law Firm is Hiring a Legal Assistant / Paralegal Near Punta Gorda, FL
Farr Law is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant/Paralegal in Punta Gorda, Florida. This position will cover a variety of administrative responsibilities including communicating with clients, scheduling appointments, opening new client files, and other tasks to assist their assigned attorney(s). This is primarily for Estate Planning and Probate but could include other practice areas as well.
TYPICAL DAY
Answer phones and manage attorney calendars
Assist with minor edits to legal documents
Respond to clients by email or phone
Greet clients and assist with document signing or copying
Sign documents as a witness or notary as needed
Attend meetings as directed by the attorney
Record and store client information
JOB EXPECTATIONS
In-office work only; no remote work
8:30 am – 5 pm; Monday – Friday (lunch 12-1 pm)
Minimal overtime

QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with computers and able to learn new programs quickly
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Outlook and Word
Previous experience in Estate Planning as a paralegal or legal assistant preferred
Paralegal certification is preferred but not necessary
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree is helpful but not required
