Position Summary:
The Equipment Department Intern will receive on-the-job training to clean, maintain, and organize air & water detection equipment for Fire, Hazmat, Police, State & Municipal Agencies, and Engineering firms.

Job Responsibilities:
Organize equipment being returned by customers into the decontamination area to be cleaned.
Assisting customers with loading or unloading equipment from vehicles.
Organize outgoing equipment on the “will call” shelf to be picked up by customers or shipped.
Clean, sanitize, and decontaminate equipment.
Return equipment to the proper storage location with rental fleet.
Clean & maintain equipment cases for rental fleet.
Assist in receiving of new inventory & parts and putting away in proper storage area.
Restocking of parts to the equipment repair stations.
Keeping the decon area clean and organized.
Keeping the shipping & receiving area clean and organized.
Assisting with inventory cycle counts.
Preparing packages for shipment.
Learning & assisting with equipment repairs when appropriate.
Answering phone calls and taking messages for the equipment repair lab.
Job Requirements:
Lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to lift, squat, kneel, stoop, bend, lay down, twist, climb, stand, and sit for extended periods.
Good eyesight and color vision.
Ability to follow safety protocols in working with cleaning agents.
Impeccable attendance and keeping the same daily schedule are of utmost importance.
Ability to assemble small parts, on delicate digital instrumentation.
