We are searching for a reliable, trustworthy Mall Security Officer to join our team. The Mall Security Officer’s responsibilities include performing regular patrols and observations, reporting irregularities, providing crowd control, answering queries, assisting customers and mall employees, and always maintaining order.

To be successful as a Mall Security Officer at Fashion Square Mall, you should be able to react appropriately in stressful conditions while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Officers will primarily work day and evening shifts, but should have the availability to work occasional overnight shifts.

Mall Security Officer Responsibilities:

• Patrolling and monitoring premises to detect any irregularities, which may include suspicious behavior or security breaches.
• Responding to calls for help and contacting law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel if required.
• Assisting during emergencies, ensuring minimal injury to people and damage to property.
• Keeping calm when alarms are triggered and escorting people to safety.
• Removing anyone who is not following the mall code of conduct.
• Following orders and working as part of a team in a paramilitary environment to ensure the safety of mall employees and customers.
• Writing daily reports.
• Completing all tasks with the utmost integrity and professionalism.

Mall Security Officer Requirements:

• High school diploma.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Clean criminal record.
• Able to pass a comprehensive drug screen.
• Proficient in English.
• Previous security experience - Minimum 1 year.

Mall Security Officer Qualifications:

• Wearing security uniforms for high visibility while maintaining a professional and well groomed appearance.
• Open availability to work day, afternoon and night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk the property for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and respond quickly to emergency situations.
• Excellent observation skills & professionalism.
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
• Sound knowledge of safety protocols.
• Ability to deescalate stressful situations.
