Job Summary: The Litigation Paralegal will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys through all phases of the litigation process. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in personal injury law, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and readily accessible.
  • Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests, and correspondence.
  • Discovery Process: Assist in the management of the discovery process, including the collection, review, and production of documents, as well as preparing discovery responses.
  • Court Filings: File pleadings and other legal documents with state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates on case status, answering questions, and relaying information between clients and attorneys.
  • Trial Preparation: Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, including organizing exhibits, preparing trial binders, coordinating witnesses, and ensuring all trial materials are prepared and organized.
  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law, statutes, regulations, and other legal resources to support case strategies.
  • Calendar Management: Maintain the litigation calendar, scheduling court dates, depositions, and meetings, and ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal.
  • Proficient in legal research and legal document drafting.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal court procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program.
  • Experience with case management software.
  • Prior experience working in a personal injury law firm.
