Faststream is recruiting for a Ship Operations Manager for a small family orientated ship owning company, based out of The Netherlands. With a focus on the seaborne transportation of various cargoes, this role is all about managing commercial contracts and ensuring smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities

• Implement, execute, and supervise commercial contracts, time, and voyage charters for the best financial results.
• Communicate effectively with vessels, customers, technical managers, port agents, and other parties.
• Keep contract administration for all assigned vessels up to date.
• Provide reports and analyses to improve the effectiveness of commercial contracts.
• Assist in fixing bunker stems and appointing port agents.
• Understand and anticipate customer needs for future requirements.

In this role, you'll report directly to the Managing Director.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A relevant Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (e.g., Maritime Operations, Shipping and Logistics)
• Experience in a similar commercial operations position
• Seagoing experience and knowledge of voyage operations/administration software is a plus
• Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to "go the extra mile"
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and a commercial attitude
• Good verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
