Position Purpose/Summary

The Provisioning Specialist is committed to providing the highest quality of service to the communities, customers, and employees we serve and is dedicated to fulfilling our customers’ needs by processing and tracking all service orders.Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform remote provisioning and route service orders accordingly.
• Configure services on voice switching systems, cellular systems, video servers, and FTTX systems. Follow and maintain up-to-date job aids.
• Monitor status of service orders for timely completion as directed by the Supervisor.
• Maintain accuracy of plant facility records by updating circuit and cable records, contacting Field Technicians, Outside Plant Engineering and/or Central Office to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.
• Perform reporting functions as directed by the Supervisor.
• Monitors status of dispatched trouble tickets, service orders and cable locate for timely completion as directed by the Supervisor.
• Research service history for preparation of line administration.
• Familiar with the types of switches and software used in each exchange and the processes for accessing and completing programming in each. Performs troubleshooting and research in order to complete programming changes in the switch.
• Serves as a liaison and resource to Operations and Customer Service.
• Read and understand various types of schematic drawings (street or system design maps) to facilitate remote provisioning.
• Maintain a detailed level understanding of all Fastwyre products, services, and features.
• Keep informed of tariff revisions, regulatory requirements, and the company’s policies and procedures related to current and new service product offerings.
• Provide support, including troubleshooting Internet Services, Video, Phone, and Cellular.
• Train coworkers on existing processes and procedures.
• Understand and interpret outside plant design, line installation, central office equipment, and carrier circuit design.
• Assist technicians with central office equipment and outside plant information.
• Respond to customer service/billing specialist questions regarding circuit information.
• Work with Engineering and Systems to ensure new equipment that is installed is accurately updated in the plant record database.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of number porting and the associated process.
• Read, interpret, and create circuit layout records.
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

At a minimum, the Provisioning Specialist must have a high school diploma or GED along with 4 years of relevant experience, associate degree with 2 years of relevant experience or bachelor's degree with no experience required.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
