Kitchen Lead

Starting Pay Range: $15-$18/Hour

Full Time/Part Time: Full Time/Hourly

Availability: Must be open to work a variety of shifts including opening, mid, closing, nights and weekends.

We are looking for a driven, team player who is passionate about providing exceptional service as a Kitchen Lead. The Kitchen Lead assists the Kitchen Manager in managing the preparation of food items, inventory, ordering and daily kitchen operations in a high-volume restaurant/bowling and entertainment center.

REQUIREMENTS

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to an environment for our team and guests that is fun, professional and in alignment with our company values.
  • Assist the Kitchen Manager in managing the kitchen team, performing administrative duties, daily prep lists, inventory, and waste logs.
  • Ensures that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the location recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
  • Upholds the kitchen standards as set by the Food & Beverage Manager and Kitchen Manager.
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
  • Ensures that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the locations preventative maintenance programs.
  • Monitor and review compliance with team member breaks.
  • Oversee the training of kitchen team members in safe operation of all kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Responsible for training cooks in cleanliness and sanitation practices.
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate cleaning schedules for the kitchen area.
  • Check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration control points.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a related food service position.
  • Food handlers permit before employment begins.
  • Completes the job safety training.
  • Able to maintain composure and manage stress.
  • Personable but professional demeanor.
  • To be qualified you must maintain proper grooming, hygiene and uniform standards based on company policies and guidelines.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
