Metal Additive Technician I Position Summary:The Metal Additive Technician - Metal (Direct Metal Laser Sintering) is responsible for producing 3D printed objects on a host of industry leading additive manufacture machines. Focus of the job duties include operating 3D printers and preparing the models once they have been built. This includes, but is not limited to, removing support material, inspecting parts for build defects and abnormalities, preparing necessary paperwork, and inspecting order for accuracy, and ensuring orders are moved on in a timely fashioned to achieve required deadlines. Metal Additive Technician Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain metal 3D printing machinery
Remove Support structures from printed parts using hand and pneumatic tools
Communicate order details and non-conformances to department supervisor / lead
Maintaining a clean work environment
Ability to follow a schedule based on order ship dates
Metal Additive Technician Qualifications/Requirements:
Motivation, high-energy, and drive to learn
Familiarity with Additive Manufacturing technologies is desired (not required)
Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
Working knowledge of pneumatic and hand tools
Computer literacy is desired
Adept at learning new technology and new systems
Flexible and able to excel in a demanding, fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
A continuous improvement mindset
